2019 Dream Awardees Judy Yu & Mary's Place

Judy Yu

The Individual Dream Award goes to Judy Yu, a community leader who chaired our first auction 19 years ago and over the years has selflessly supported our work with her time and advocacy, always making sure that children have what they need to succeed.

Mary's Place

The Organization Dream Award goes to Mary's Place, an inclusive shelter and service organization that support women, children and families on their journey out of homelessness, many of our Early Head Start families come from Mary's Place and we refer many families who need that stability to them.

Denise Louie Education Center could not exist without the important support and partnership from our community. The Dream Award was established for the purpose of recognizing the outstanding work of individuals and organizations whose strong commitment to children has resulted in (1) increased access to early education and stability for children and families and (2) increased resources that allow Denise Louie to serve and expand its programmatic goals.

It is because of champions like these that we are able to close the opportunity gap and serve over 600 children annually. Please join me for an evening of celebration, dining, bidding and most importantly, supporting a mission that has been proven to change the trajectory of children's and families' lives for the better.
